I will never forget sitting alone in a hotel room, struggling with intractable lower back pain and the inability to urinate. As a registered nurse, I fully understood the seriousness of what was happening in my body and yet, in that moment, I felt helpless and afraid. My 7 year-old child was with me, and the thought of driving home felt impossible.
Out of desperation and Faith, I reached out to Cindy. She performed Reiki on me from a distance, speaking gently, grounding my energy, and holding space for my pain. What happened next is something I will never forget.
